The theme this year is "A Round Peg in a Square Hole" - a study of enamel and fringe. In this series, which starts in January 2010, I will be creating an enamel of a different technique for each month and I will also be exploring different fringes for each. I specialize in Closionne, which is the best known of all enameling techniques. So in this series I will be stretching my inclination to include other techniques that I don't work with too often. The fringe exploration will also stretch me to come up with 12 different types of fringes.
These pieces are all 3.5" squares with a 1.5" enamel and around 1.5" or longer fringe. They will be framed in a shadow box frame measuring 8" x 10" with various flocked colored matte board for the background.
On eaqch page for each piece, if you roll your mouse over the photo, you will see a close up of the enamel.
