Bead Journal Project 2007
July 2007 - 2nd in series
Theme: Teaching at Camp Med-O-Lark
Each summer since 2003, I've gone to an arts camp in Maine, Camp Med-O-Lark. In 2003 I set up their Enameling Studio (doing sliver cloisonne, copper enameling and now copper etching ), and in 2006 I redesigned and set up their Bead Studio. I run these programs: finding counselors to teach, train them and teach campers while I'm there. Here is what is included:
- Photo of my best friends and me (in order, left to right): Carol Anne, Ali, me, David
- Beads I had bought for camp yellow ones that hold in the frame
- Cloisonne I had started at camp
- My favorite bead surrounds the Cloisonne.
- Sea Glass from Maine
- A glass bead I made with camp counselor Stacy
- Background of a silk painting I made with camp counselor Carol Anne
